The decision to modernize railway infrastructure is often made not at the negotiating table, but right at a trade fair stand, in conversation with the people who operate the technology every day. That was exactly the case at this year’s Rail Business Days in Ostrava, which VHC Group attended from 9 to 11 June 2026.
At our outdoor stand V14, we met with our suppliers, customers, and experts from the railway infrastructure sector. Rail Business Days is not just about technology and machines — it’s above all about sharing experience and finding shared solutions for the future of the railway.

What we showcased at our stand
Visitors could view machines for the construction, maintenance, and modernization of railway infrastructure from our suppliers Plasser & Theurer, ROBEL, Vogel & Plötscher, and Zwiehoff, including:
- 08-275 ZW tamping machine (Plasser & Theurer), operated by Firesta, was on display in the rail section of the exhibition.
- We presented ROBEL and Vogel & Plötscher equipment and tools for track installation and maintenance directly at our stand.
- ROTRAC E2 (Zwiehoff): a zero-emission electric rail vehicle shunter with a shunting capacity of 250 tonnes was displayed at our stand, come rain or shine.
Throughout the event, our stand was staffed in person by representatives of our suppliers Plasser & Theurer and Zwiehoff.

Meetings that matter
We were particularly pleased by the visit of Mr. Kajetan Huber, a representative of G. Zwiehoff GmbH. He brought the ROTRAC E2 to our stand for the first time — a machine that VHC Group now represents as the exclusive agent for the Czech and Slovak market. We enjoyed a whole series of similar meetings over the three days of the event, discussing specific projects, service support, modernizations, and future needs in railway infrastructure.

This year’s Rail Business Days welcomed 13,445 visitors and 139 exhibitors, who presented 17 vehicles along 525 metres of track.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand — we look forward to seeing you again.
