Plasser & Theurer is the world’s largest manufacturer of special railway equipment. Its range includes machines and systems for track laying and installation, and the renewal and maintenance of tracks and overhead contact lines. This Austrian company has been on the market for 70 years, and for more than 30 years it has been represented on the Czech and Slovak market by VHC Trade.
Plasser & Theurer is the only manufacturer in the world offering a complete range of machines for laying and maintaining railway tracks. Initially, it focused exclusively on machines for track laying, track maintenance, and related measurement. In the 1980s, the range of machines offered expanded to include equipment for installing and maintaining overhead contact lines. Since 1953, more than 16,000 heavy machines have been delivered to 109 countries around the world.
Since the beginning of its history, Plasser & Theurer has focused on the development, research, and application of new technologies for building and subsequently maintaining railway tracks. The result of this work is a vast wealth of experience, which has produced technologies, machines, and machine systems regarded in the industry as a certain standard in many areas of track operation and maintenance.
Today, thanks to our service facility in Lovosice and our above-standard relationship with the Austrian company Plasser & Theurer, we are able to provide owners of Plasser & Theurer machines with the complete service needed for their special equipment to run smoothly.

VHC Trade has been operating on the Czech and Slovak markets since 1992. We represent the world’s leading manufacturers Plasser & Theurer, Robel, Speno and Vogel & Plötscher. Thanks to this, we offer to our partners special railway technologies and also hand held machines for the construction and maintenance of railway systems. We also provide technologies for reprofiling of railway lines and switches.
Since 2016, we have had a service centre in Lovosice providing facilities for the long-term care of your working machines and conventional vehicles. This includes the service and maintenance of rolling stock from the rail transport segment and, last but not least, the possibility of integrating ETCS systems.
