We have been operating a service centre in Lovosice since 2022. At its core is a hall providing facilities for a whole range of work operations. It is equipped with two 100-metre tracks with service pits. There are a total of ten jacks with an individual capacity of 25 tonnes, as well as a gantry crane capable of handling up to 10 tonnes.
The facility includes its own siding. The siding enables test runs and functional verification of repaired machines. The service hall is further equipped with a turnery, a metalworking workshop, and both heated indoor and outdoor storage. It also has a fully equipped training centre and facilities for external technicians.

We see the corresponding service offering as an integral part of representing Plasser & Theurer on the domestic market. To that end, we have a certified service centre capable of carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on Plasser & Theurer machines.

Based on operating hours, we carry out the necessary operational maintenance on special rail vehicles so they remain available for their work. - WARRANTY AND POST-WARRANTY SERVICE
We provide the servicing prescribed by Plasser & Theurer to ensure operability and maintain safety. - GENERAL OVERHAULS
As part of a general overhaul, we can completely disassemble the machine and inspect all its parts, including the frame and functional units. - MODERNIZATION
During modernization, we upgrade subsystems to a newer generation, increasing productivity, extending functionality, and prolonging service life.
- AUDIT/VEDO
We offer our partners a machine audit, during which the complete technical condition is assessed. We prepare a list of service tasks and provide an approximate price estimate. - MOBILE TECHNICIAN
Our mobile technician is available to you on working days. They will identify the cause of any fault on site and help resolve it quickly.
RAIL VEHICLE SERVICING
You can use our service centre for the maintenance or servicing of locomotives and railway wagons. The combination of a covered hall and our own siding allows for vehicle downtime and a whole range of service operations.

The first step is to determine the condition of the equipment. Our hall has tracks with assembly pits, jacks, and a gantry crane, which greatly simplify all the necessary tasks. - MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
Based on operating hours, we carry out the necessary operational maintenance on rail vehicles so they remain available for their work. - AXLE AND BOGIE REPAIRS
Alongside routine axle repairs, we also carry out bogie removal for complete general overhauls.
ROBEL MACHINERY SERVICE
Alongside offering Robel-brand small equipment for track superstructure maintenance, we also provide servicing of this equipment at our service centre in Lovosice.

VHC Servis is a certified service centre for Robel equipment. Operators of this machinery can also make use of the network of local authorized service centres.
OUR STORY
Over thirty years
we've been with you on the rails
VHC Trade was founded in 1992. Right from the start, it represented the Austrian manufacturer Plasser & Theurer on the Czech market — at the time still the Czechoslovak market. Plasser & Theurer is the world’s largest manufacturer of specialized railway technology and naturally operates not only in other European countries, but around the world.
The fact that VHC Trade has represented Plasser & Theurer technology on the Czech market for more than thirty years, we consider the result of good work from the very beginning of our company’s operation right up to the present day.
Before the end of the millennium, VHC Trade had already expanded its portfolio of suppliers to include the German manufacturer Robel and the Swiss manufacturer Speno. Thanks to this, we can offer our partners hand-held machines for the maintenance of track systems, as well as technology for reprofiling railway lines and switches. More recently we added the precise measuring machines from Vogel & Plötscher, used for diagnosing the condition of the rail head.
The construction and maintenance of railway tracks is a specific and fascinating field. Recently we have been encountering a range of innovations bringing new technologies into use. We have responded to this too — we changed our company’s structure, strengthened our team with new colleagues, and expanded our service portfolio with further activities.
Since 2016 we have had a service facility in northern Bohemia, of which we became the sole owner in 2021. In Lovosice we now operate the world’s first certified external service centre for Plasser & Theurer. Thanks to this investment, you will find a fully equipped, qualified facility in Central Europe for the long-term care of your machines. Since 2022, we have also focused on the servicing and maintenance of rail vehicles in the rail transport segment, and, last but not least, on the integration of ETCS systems.
Today, as the VHC Group, we focus not only on the supply of technology but also on the servicing and maintenance of machines, including their general overhauls and modernisation.
