Vogel & Plötscher is based in southern Germany. Its core business is the manufacture and distribution of precision mechanical tools, electric motors, and track measuring instruments.
Track measuring equipment has been manufactured here throughout the company’s entire history. This means the Vogel & Plötscher brand has been around for more than 55 years. Over that time, precision measurement has developed considerably, and this German company has become one of the most experienced and important manufacturers in the world. Track measurement today is divided into two segments, based on two ways of determining values — analogue and digital.
Reliable, precise, and easy-to-use tools for measuring railway tracks are essential for correctly assessing the condition of the line. Our range includes analogue and digital instruments used for building new tracks or for maintaining and carrying out necessary repairs on existing ones. Selected devices can determine a whole range of important parameters, such as track gauge, cant, clearance gauge, rail longitudinal profile, as well as wear and certain hidden defects.

Thanks to this, we offer to our partners special railway technologies and also hand held machines for the construction and maintenance of railway systems. We also provide technologies for reprofiling of railway lines and switches.
Since 2016, we have had a service centre in Lovosice providing facilities for the long-term care of your working machines and conventional vehicles. This includes the service and maintenance of rolling stock from the rail transport segment and, last but not least, the possibility of integrating ETCS systems.
