Since September 2024, AŽD Praha has been carrying out a prototype installation of OBU ETCS in GTW 2/6 type units operated by the carrier ARRIVA vlaky.
AŽD Praha won the tender for the supply and installation of the system, working in cooperation with CAF Signalling and VHC System as subcontractors.
This retrofit is an important step toward modernizing rail operations and ensuring compliance with European safety and interoperability standards.
